For this stamp issue, we have chosen one of the oldest bridges that still exists in Belgium. The 'Pont des Trous', is located in the city of Tournai/Doornik. This bridge is still one of the oldest in Europe, dating back to the 13th century. The 2 stamps each show half of the bridge in a different design and both are engraved by Guillaume Broux.
